Many Hispanics have high aspirations but doubt their abilities: nearly 90% say college is important to success yet only half—48%—plan to enroll. Unless our students believe they can succeed, they are at an increased risk of dropping out.
By 2036, 1 in 3 students in U.S. public schools will be of Latino heritage. A lack of information and lack of role models are two of the top reasons why Latino students do not pursue higher education.
