    Since launching in New Jersey in 2008, the HISPA Role Model Program has expanded to New York, Texas, Florida, and Pennsylvania. In the past three years alone, HISPA has made nearly 1,400 visits, reaching some 9,000 students. Every time a student hears a HISPA Role Model tell their story, it makes an impression. In 2023-24, HISPA completed 500 Role Model Program sessions, making over 17,570 impressions.

    Steps to Become a HISPA Role Model:

    Onboarding:

    • Register to create an account in this portal using the following link.
    • Attend an online Onboarding session.
    • We will approve your account within 48 hours of completing these steps. If you are awaiting approval, please contact us at scheduling@hispa.org

    Preparing:

    • Complete your profile on the portal, including a brief biography and headshot photo.
    • Review and e-Sign the HISPA Role Model Code of Conduct.
    • Prepare and submit your HISPA Role Model Presentation.

    Note: During this stage, session registration is not available. However, HISPA staff can place a hold on a session by contacting us at scheduling@hispa.org.

    Presenting

    • Register for sessions directly via the Calendar on the portal.
    • Update and revise your materials as needed.
